I have noticed recently when accelerating hard in 3rd and again in 4th but hitting about 5k rpm I get a massive flat spot only in 4th gear but if I try going from low rpm in 4th revving through to 5th it's fine weird ,might book it in at r tech for dyno run and smoke test any one else get this problem.stage 1 forge 008 99ron fuel green panel cobra cat back

VCDS logs would help to pinpoint the reason for it. Sticky dump valve or temperature related timing pull would be my bet without seeing the logs. Get a bigger downpipe and ditch the cat, that'll keep the temperatures down.

I have a r tech custom stage 1 and as far as I know the maff is original and done 106k so it's possibly fudged

Tbh I recently changed my maf after having almost the exact symptoms, it drove perfectly apart from between 4-5k, had it on vag com and nothing at all showed up, maf figures even looked normal, I think before they fail they read true but don't adjust quick enough under full load

I fitted a new bosch maff and it's sorted the flat spot and feels strong right through all the gears
