FR150 Engine Cover

Hi,

Can someone please tell me how you remove the engine cover from a Mk1 FR150, keep reading that they are just a push fit.....just dont want to brake the thing?

Any help appreciated

They are push fit pal. Grab the back and pull it upwards then do the same with the front.

I popped mine off yesterday for a bluddy good clean - silver TDI bit was grubby.

There are three locating ball joints - one in the middle at the top and one either side nearer the bottom. They just pop in and out with a bit of a tug.

Sometimes I'll pull the whole lot toward you in one go (should just pop out ) and then other times a bit more careful and pop the two side ones first and the top one independently. TBH it don't really matter, but they do need a bit of a tug. Dip stick will stay in situ too.
