yeah seen this issue a few times only cure it a new screen but for warranty purposes they will try a software update first as the screen is ~£800 the intermittent nature of it can make it hard to identify when this issue is fixed so when you book the car in expect them to have it a few days minimum as they cant special order the radio in and will need time for extended road tests to confirm the fault has gone, honestly you'll probably end up doing 2 trips as they'll say it's fixed after the software update.

Mines has been playing up in this cold weather, was fine the last 2 winters, either screen is unresponsive or acts as if screen is being pressed all the time, jumping modes, radio stations etc for 5 mins or so until warmed up a bit. Will be a pain as dealer will no doubt want for a few days to investigate.

I test drove a car that was doing that. Once the car had warmed up a littlw we managed to reset the screen to factory settings and it worked fine after that.

Had trouble with my 6.5" unit for the first time the other day. Again weather was freezing but no response from the touchscreen at all when I first set out. Steering wheel controls were fine and the unit itself was responding quickly but without any touch input.

Rebooted it whilst sitting at the lights (key out for 30 seconds then restart engine) and it came back to life. Will be watching this one closely...

I started getting this a few weeks ago, you basically have to leave it for a while to unfreeze its self.

Its little things like this and water in the rear LEDs that put you right off a car.

Especially when lots of people/cars have the same issue.

my screen was replaced in january and is now randomly freezing again...i also have water in my rear leds and condensation in my front (they refuse to replace)

I must admit, im gettin a bit annoyed with the infotainment system...the nav is completely unusable as it zooms to a national level and i can see amsterdam and lots of other nice places (i live in stoke on trent by the way).

The music set at a level I like, rattles all the door cards and feels like the speakers are loose. The bluetooth call quality is hit and miss, as is the voice control.

Engine fan stays on after turning the car off nearly all the time (probably something do with dpf but its not the point)

System freezes usually when my ipod classic is connected to the system, and when it finally does come on, it plays from the first track on the ipod, not where I left off....

Bluetooth music works fine but sometimes doesnt reconnect when turning the car back on.

Many many little niggly things, which annoy me, and it annoys me even more to think I paid £21,000 for the car...

Was told full-link retrofit not available for MY15 cars...although it probably is when they replace the crap nav system to the higher spec one...

Had condensation in my Cupra front lights and have it my Merc user manual says this is normal, Both rear lights replaced in the Cupra under warranty. My VW fan stays on some times I think this is some kind safety thing, as you say to do with DPF.
