Finally after 15,000 miles of enjoyable VW Corrado motoring I took the plunge and bought my first car that can be classed as modern, after mk2, mk3 gti golfs, Corrado and bike carb polos - all of which have never left me stranded on the side of a road in my 5 years of driving :D

Bought a bright red 05 plate Leon FR which I didnt realise you could buy in mk1 form.
Has the few niggles - wheel alignment and creaking from the front end during low speed braking, acceleration/ weight transfer but other than that all is well. Seen a few solutions in the forum.....

Are there many mk1 FR's about?

Now ive got to find the balls to sell the Rado :(..................

Sold my MK2 Cupra and got a 95 valver in blue. Loved the car but it kept breaking down on me in the end so I sold that on quickly enough. Now I am carless for the next year as I really don't need one just yet. Besides it gives me time to hold out for the mk3 cupra/cupra r. You will love the mk1 however as I am also a big fan of them.

Thats a shame. Mines been bulletproof other than wear and tear parts! Even all the ancient electrics work.

That MK3 Leon looks excellent!
