Hi all. Newcomer to the group.
I own a 2017 2.0 TDI MK3/5F FR.
I was driving through some horrible weather this week when my dash flashed up "Front assist unavailable"
It has stayed on my dash ever since. I've inspected the front sensor in the grille, it's clean, is stable and no sign of damage.
I've read a few forums with the most common themes being "it's weather related, leave it it will sort it's self" or "the sensor requires recalibration"
However I connected to my Carista ODB2 app/adapter and it has thrown up VAG fault code: Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) - 00791 - Air Conditioner Evaporator Temperature Switch.
Why the hell would an air con switch cause an issue with the front assist system?
If it is said switch that is causing the issue where can I locate said sensor and how would it cost to replace (if required)
Cheers
