Fuelling issues

Hi Guys, having a real issue with my car and I'm getting nowhere. I live in the middle of nowhere so trying to get the car to the garage is an issue.

The car will start fine, I drive for 5 mins and it ccuts out, then when I try to start it the motor just turns over. If I disconnect the battery for 5 mins then it starts again, I will get 2 mins down the road and it cuts out again, I'm almost certain it's a fuelling issue and not the immobiliser.

If anyone has had these issues please help as I don't want to get ripped off by the stealers if I eventually manage to get the car there, I don't have vag com and if I did I doubt I would know what to ddo with it.

Nobody had these sypmtoms on there l.c.r. could it be the maf. I think I'm going to buy the vag.com anyway, are the ones on e-bay o.k or can anyone suggest a retailer.

hi mate, sorry to hear about the mishaps.
you really need vagcom on it to know for sure.

To test maf, just disconnect it and start the car.if prob dissapears then theres your answer.

Otherwise im not too sure but maybe your coolant temperature sensor, as my brothers car did something similar on a passat diesel. would turn but not start after driving a while. give it a while then starts ok. first thing in the morning would start fine also.hope that helps.

ebay vagcom should be fine for reading fault codes.

Check your pipes and one near the turbo. Also u tried unplugging your maf to see if it runs. Guessing game,but hope you sort it and try get it on Vag-com
