Full Link USB change

Hi everyone , so today I swapped out my old 150 fr for a 16 plate 184, the car needed the Full Link activated , the dealer agreed to do it for £75 , when I arrived to pick it up this morning , the guy informed me that it now needs the USB socket upgrading ,and the part won't arrive until next Tuesday !!

The dealer is a 120 mile round trip from me , and has offered to either fit the part ,or send me it to fit myself , so the question is , is it just a ten minute job like they are telling me ,or is it more involved ie centre console out to get the USB out ?

The garage activated it but I ended up fitting the new usb connector myself ,easy to be honest

USB as that’s the Seat part supplied

I activated Full Link yesterday on my 2016 Leon. I'm only going to use AA, is there any point in swapping out the USB port? It seems to work fine how it is

Only if you might use Carplay, try plugging in an iPhone it might work anyway.

Sorry to drag up an old thread, I had to order a new usb connector too. Did you have to take out the whole cubby hole or can you just pop out the usb bit? I can’t remember how I did it in my old car.

I think I was sent new connectors to go on original wiring

I removed the whole trim, made it easier to push from behind.

Hi, sorry for bringing up an old thread, but I’ve got a Leon FR 2015 and I want to change the full link USB part to one with USB-C, so I was just wondering if that’s possible and if it was would you have a link for the part.
