Gavs LC 50 shades of yellow!!!

Hi guiys thought id do a bit of a write up!!

Bought my LC start of this year.

2 lady owners from new and service history up to 90000 from main dealer!!

inside is mint, but paintwork has faded..

So far Ive removed SAI and N249, forge 008 recirc valve, CM upper crank case breather pipe the lower one snapped when i fitted the upper.. fitted some flat blade wipers. had a nice whining noise coming from cambelt area..

water pump had shattered its a black plastic one so found the origin of the horrible noise lol.

Given her a full service and stuck a new maf on as original was faulty, was trying to find bad coil but turnt out to be a bad maf and swapped my pipercross caf or standard drilled airbox with green pannel filter.

Ordered this week boost gauge, rear wiper conversion kit, sidelight bulbs and numberplate lights.. and dip stick tube lol and a lower crankcase breather pipe from CM.

in the next few months will be fitting
-H&R lowering springs
- decat/front pipe
- front mount intercooler
- cobra twin tip slash cut non resonated

a few other bits here and there and should be ready to book in with ******!

anyone have any ideas how to get it the same shade of yellow again? ive tried yellow t-cut but it diddnt touch it..

UPDATE!

HID's fitted today and rear wiper arm conversion, also sprayed the cupra wheels black until i find some nice rims.. im thinking of getting the Golf GTI Monza's and getting them sprayed dark grey or metallic black? what do you think?

Will clean the bay this weekend coming, and put my new lower crank case breather pipe on.

Gave the cupra wheels a quick spray for now.. any one got ideas on rims? too many to choose from haha..

Took a picture of the water me and JB_cupra removed from my car... it was destroyed but somehow the heating still worked?..

Have you tried the compound and MOP on the paintwork? It's too cold out side to do it really, need to have it in the warm.

How is it running now?

mate that that noice will be your gearbox pal the top bearing would have dropped and will be rubbing on you caseing ive just had a gearbox re-build to get rid of that noise. £599 plus vat :[

The noise was the water pump, that had broken up. Was coming from cambelt side. Was either idle or water pump. Idle was fine but when managed to pry water pump out of block it was in pieces. Once I fitted a new water pump and cambelt yesterday it run perfectly no noise at all. Wasn't expecting the water pump to have failed like it did. I know of the fan blade coming off not falling apart.

The main bit is done now. When fitting your boost gauge you might need a anti-buzz fitting. I have ordered a 4mm straight connector today and going to make my own for my LC because I need a straight fitting not a T so if I get it to do the job then you can have the T fitting I bought form Awesome GTI.

okay bud should be here tommorrow hopefully lol and ive got tommorrow off im not sure exactly what its coming with but i ordered a blue one should of gone for a red one lol.. unless i change all the dash lights lol.. or not

Normally like a blue back light. Mine is light white/blue not to much of an eye sore so is okay!!

I won a THS FMIC from ths performance in a competiton, its all fitted very nice piece of kit.
ive now got TT reps 17"
and a 3" miltek cat back from a cupra R just waiting till next month for decat/downpipe and forge tip then hopefully ready for remap

Full respray is booked in for december, just need to find some new bumpers not sure wether to go for facelift bumpers or cupra R ones yet.
