Hey everyone,

I'm looking at replacing the oil in the gearbox. I've read posts here that say there is a tamperproof bolt for doing this job.

How ever, I called the local seat garage who doesn't think there is any such bolt on my cars gearbox.

Can anyone please shed some more light on this? Thank you.

You will have to get under and have a look.
I was going to do the same job this weekend but mine has the spline type plug, some have the hex head plugs that take an allen key.
If its the former you will need one of these.

It could be a 14mm hex socket plug, or it could be an M16 spline security plug. As said above, best to have a nosy under the car first.

My 2001 LC has the 14mm hex plug ;)

Thanks all. Had a look and it appears its a hex socket needed.
