Global closure for electric windows

I've just been chatting to a friend at work who has a Focus ST170 and he mentioned that some focus's have global closure on thier windows. I know some golfs and Audi have this too and was just wondering if the Leon has this option?

Its not something i have tried or seen in the owners manual, i've done a quick search on here and can see there are some after market kits you can buy, there was a kit on ebay for about 20 quid. Has anyone used this a kit like this?

I think you can shut the windows by putting the key in the lock on the drivers door and turning it in the locked direction and all the windows should shut.

Used to be like that on my Bora so can't see the Leon being any different

Holding the key fob won't work. I had the module added when I had a new alarm fitted. Only cost an extra tenner or so.

I just wish I could open them all remotely too...

....and start the car remotely with the heater on (in winter) and a hot cup of tea waiting...... now that would be nice [B)]

what about using the key fob?

If you hold down one of the buttons on the key fob (can't remember which one) for a few seconds it sets the alarm off, suppose it's so that it can be used as a panic alarm

Yep as above, fit a Autowindow Reflex module and it folds in mirrors (if you have fold in types) and closes all windows on locking and upon unlocking it can be programmed to open them all too....

Have it on my car, i click the windows down from inside the house in the hot summer afternoons and get in 2 mins later after the hot air has gone, beats sweating for 10 mins while u wait for the car to cool down or air con to do it...

ecu program decoder

you take the original code from the ecu and it converts it to binary and lists the current options used , save the original (just in case) then select the options you wanted (horn honk / full closure etc) and recode from binary back to ecu code

enter code and voila

ill try and dig it out for ya and do a screenshot - like said - tried it on an A6 and a TT no problems but never got round to a leon

Just tried that.... yep if you open a couple of windows, lock the car using the key and hold it in the 'lock' position the windows will close. Likewise if you unlock with the key and hold in the 'unlock' position all the windows will go down.

found it - and uploaded it

http://www.flapper.org.uk/storage.htm

*NB* i havent tried it on a leon/ibiza yet so keep your original codes handy and dont blame me if it doesnt work or shags summat up mind

http://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec41.shtml is a quick guide into what it does and how - would be a good way to manually check codes amyway before installing - the decoder is basically a user friendly way of working it out

just found my old auto lights module in the shed as well - must finish that off too - lol
