Gloss black gear knob trim cracking

Has anyone had this problem on their cupra? Mine has developed multiple hairline cracks around the edges and one large crack that's spread to the centre. Warranty claim has just been rejected saying it's damage so not happy!

The issues with my FR was that the cracks got a little bigger but nothing major and i only had the car 2 years so never really felt compelled to get it fixed.

My Cupra is 2 years old in September and it's showing no signs of cracking.

Just sold my 280 at three years old and it was fine. Could just be bad luck that you got a faulty one!

Main reason for the post is to see if anyone has had a successful warranty claim for a replacement? At the minute best I'm being offered is good will discount on the part.
