Glow plug issue

Hi 2014 1.6 tdi fault on my diagnostic- no3 glow plug connectivity fault. Glow plug light goes out on dash as normal but engine management on. Anyone know what could cause this? Tried to find if there any fuses but can’t find them! Any help most appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you have a multi-meter you can check the resistance of the glow plugs as it's highly likely to be a faulty glow plug rather than the wiring, I can't remember what range the resistance should be though, I recently changed the glow plugs on my niece's 1.6 Golf because of a similar problem.

Have you tried looking at the fuse box in the engine compartment as opposed to the one behind the glovebox?

Engine compartment fuse #9 - it’s referred to as ‘engine’ in the Leon Mk3 owners manual, but the Golf Mk7 is a bit more specific.

However, as above, the fact that the diagnostics is pointing to plug #3 would indicate that it’s a plug/wiring/earthing fault and not the fuse.

I had the same and the same plug too

The glow plug had gone tits up so I just replaced the lot just under £60 for all 4 from eurocarparts for bosch ones
