Hi all, what grease is best to use for lubricating poly bushes, ARB bushes specifically? I'm looking for something hardy and weather resistant, preferably silicone based or otherwise and not mineral based so that I run the risk of it degrading the bush.

I've been recommended silicone spray grease although I am unsure of how long this will last in such a place on the car.

I have a can of White Lithium Grease laying around which I think would be better suited although and more hardly but not a long last solution to trademark polybush creaks.

you could use copper grease last for years.

copper grease on rubber or polyurethane causes perishing and hardening which eventually leads to cracking, your far better with a silicone based grease like the original "red rubber grease" found in most motor factors and still made by the likes of comma and castrol.

Its silicone based so doesnt effect the rubbers properties, purely lubricates, the power flex kits come with a silicone based grease which is temperary for install, it looks like spunk but does its intended job :D

Copper or aluminium grease contains metal filings (its basically a thin grinding paste) so it can wear the bushes and cause the exact thing you were trying to prevent - either play or rubbing noises.

That was on standard bushes which split as they went in anyway, i will be upgrading to poly as cash allows hoping they can take a little more hammer time then originals. Dont worry ill go the silicone route next time :p

fit a full kit from powerflex and you wont believe the difference mate! makes everything nice and tight.
