Just here for the obligatory hi all, from the rock that is canvey island, Essex.
Just joined after owning a red mk1 cupra r for many years, but never really done much to her, but she's in need of some serious love and attention.
She was bought already mapped to stage one and wheel colour changed to anthracite, but apart form that all else is standard, even the radio.
As of this weekend the engine bay work will begin, she will have red creation motorsport coolant and intake hoses, a oil catch can added and a few other bits done. Any ideas on quick easy mods for these then fire away.
I'll be polyurethane bushing the front suspension as bushes seen better days so hay hi and off we go, and eventually ill get round to the rear when time permits.
Plan is eventually 3inch exhaust system, front mount intercooler, re refub of the wheels, as the last ones where done on the cheap, and possibly a respray if I win the lottery.
Inside all that's been done is led interior lights but that radio has to go and the six cd changer ripped out the glove box.
After many years in the motor trade this will be the first car I've actually modded for myself and it will take time but I'll bring her back to life.
Oh and of course a set of team heko rain deflectors..... How could I forget them .
