having to pile revs on to stop stalling

hey guys im new here so go easy on me :rolleyes:. i got the car off my sister for my birthday (seat ibiza mk3 1.4), got insured on the 10th jan. went out for a little drive with my dad coz i aint passed my test yet n i found out u have to realy pile the revs on to stop it from stalling. this aint coz im a poo driver haha n its realy buggin me. i got told it may have to be tuned in some way? this i dont no n i was hopin some1 off here could give me a little idea. thanks guys

use the 'SEARCH' as the top of the page... type in the words THROTTLE BODY and read the threads it shows up.. this may (may not) give you a bit more info as to what could possibly be the cause.

might be due to the fact its fly by wire, (this means there is no throttle cable and it works through the ECU IIRC) there is a slight delay when pressing the accelerator which means if your on the bite point you'll feel like you need to add more revs to not stall it.

i noticed this from jumping out of a diesel xsara with a heavy clutch and low biting point, to these weightless clutches!!!
