Head Gasket??

Sunday morning coming home from nightshift my car decided to overheat,
I stoped to check it out and looks to have lost some water from the bottle and the water looks like its darker..
I fear its tell tale signs of the head gaskets blown.

Roughly how much does this cost to fix?
and if I done it myself, what parts would I need exactly?
ive had the timing belt + tensioner done last year do I need to again then?

Head gasket set and get the head skimmed, not sure about cost for the head set as that varies a lot but a skim shouldn't be more than £40-£50. You might also need head bolts, I usually replace them as a matter of course but some can be reused.:)

just make sure no oil in water system, if some oil there, then before opening head check a oil cooler ...
i have many time on VAG cars leaking oil cooler, ist no leak outside, but oil leak into water and block cooling system, engine temp. come high.... but if u on time find out this, can save head gasket...
don`t know what happen with u car, but maybe just oil cooler ???
