Hi guys, I have a MK2 leon fr PD170, i want to get heated seats installed, how do i do this, i want it to have a genuine OEM look and feel with the buttons being by the climate control,

please advise

I guess you would need to source the heating elements, the wiring and the correct control unit. Finding them used would be cheaper but much harder. New would be very expensive.

It might be worth looking at aftermarket options instead.

Im looking into this at the moment too, But i will be purchasing after market seat switches despite how much i want to keep it OEM, My new seats come with heating elements so its just a case of making up a loom and switch.

I contacted TPS/Seat who can supply the heater buttons but its part of the main aircon module at a cost of £630 (not sure if thats including VAT!!) so that alone put me off the OEM idea.

£350 from ebay for the heater control unit. I just wondered the same thing
about retro fitting heated seat or heater elements to a cupra/550 seats.
Being an fr owner with heated seats it's one thing thats stopped me replacing
mine with a Cupra.

I have my New seats waiting to be fitted now, Heated Recaros, and have the heated seat/ climate control module also, got it off ebay for a lot cheaper than £350, However i could be tempted to sell it for a good offer.. All thats needed now is an Oem Loom to recaro plugs or have a loom made up for the seats and module.

I was looking at facelift climate unit with heated seat buttons.
So are you saying your FR 550 seats have heater elements? I find it strange the Cupra
doesn't have the option of heated seats as the base on both types of seat seem
to be the same.

I have removed my FR550 interior and putting a set of Recaros in which have heating elements in them.Dont think any FR550 seats came heated

As an FR owner with OE heated seats I wouldn't be without them, especially as the diesel takes so long to heat up.

If you're prepared to pay then you won't regret it.

I've got a 2012 Supercopa and been looking to fit factory heated seats since I bought it. Does anyone have the part number for the climate control unit with the heat seat switches? Been looking on ebay etc for seats with the heater element / wiring loom / control unit for ages but without any luck

Mines got heated seats and they're great in the winter. I would love to upgrade to a FL climate unit but the heated seat ones are very rare to come by.

eBay Germany usually has a couple though ;)
