As the title says I am looking at getting Wind deflectors but there are two brands that have caught my eye. Just looking for peoples views/experiences with these? heard good and bad things about Heko ones slipping and no sitting in place properly?? the Climair ones seem to sit perfectly without slip but there doesn't seem to be as many people using these probably as they are around £85 for the set of four compared to £40ish for Heko. They are to fit my MK2 FR.

cheers in advance Shug

I've had Heko before on 2 of my cars and they worked great. They shouldn't really slip about because they have very slim adhesive strips which sit inside the frame when you tuck them in. Keep the windows shut for a while for it to allow pressure on the deflector and make them stick properly.

I've had Heko's on each car I've owned, and swear by them.

Just make sure you put the metal clips in properly and keep the windows closed for at least 24 hrs to make sure they stay in place :)

Thanks purple, had a look at them and he has some pretty bad feedback? I guess you only ever hear the bad feedback though?

Make sure you clean out the window channel beforehand. I used solvent cleaner and some kitchen roll. Then some alcohol wipes :)

I dont want to throw a spanner in the works here, but I've had both the HEKO ones (on my Leon) and the Climair ones (on my Focus)

If I'm being ultra picky, I prefer the Climair

The Claimair don't require any clips & fit tightly/snug in the chanel & they are more stylish than the HEKO as they are a bit more rounded with a 'slimmer' profile

The HEKO's are a bit more 'square' and you have to be fiddling with clips and the adhesive strip, they stick out a bit more than the Climair becaise of their profile & design.

They both do the same job and are as good as eachother.
I've actually took my HEKO ones off my Leon & if I was to buy again, I'd go for the Climair ones

I suppose its all preferences :).

I like the hekos because of their angularity (is that a word?)

The clips are fine so long as you got a flat head screwdriver I found, still mangae to drop them a few time though haha

Anyone ever had trouble with their windows not going up/past the deflector properly?

Like the deflector is causing the motor to work over time to shut fully? I had them on my first Ibiza and Citroen C2 and had to put my hand one the glass and help the motor by pushing the glass past the deflector which (on both drivers and passengers) had always put me off buying another set.

ive had heko's on mine for over 12months they have stayed fitted fine , ive had no issues with them falling out , I do get a little kind of squeeking noise as the window shuts which I assume is the glass pushing against the deflector in the channel but its no big deal really .
your post says £40 ish for them that sounds expensive mine were from ebay £30 free delivery the seller was thetowbarman01
