Hi, I was hoping someone on here could do me a massive favour and measure the pad retaining clips on there LCR Brembo calipers for me.

Basicly I bought a used set of LCR Brembo's to fit to my octavia vRS, but the pad retaining spring clips were missing (and I didn't notice at the time, and the guy I bought the brakes from can't find them now).

And I don't want to pay seats crazy prices for new ones, therefore i'm hoping that someone would be kind enough to measure there's for me ?

All I need is the length and width of the clip (I have the pins).

Thanks in advance :)

Not the same but maybe contact seller to ask for the Leon item?

Thats why i'm asking for someone to measure theres for me, so I can find some the correct size, as there are lots avaliable, but nothing listed specificly for the LCR.

Il try and get you some measurements later, the ones in the link look very similar to the Leon retainers.

If you could measure yours for me, that would be great :D

There are lots that look similar but the sizes do vary.

I have a pair of brand new 4 pot brembo's from a supercharged ranger rover sport, the clips look the same, but there MILES too big lol.

It all good... I went SEAT earlier and for me it was working out @ £40 +VAT per side of the clips and pins...

Yeh £96 is a bit excessive still imo, for 2 strips of metal and 4 pins

Hmm, well I had heard that Fiat Coupe Brembo's used the same caliper (although mounted differently), but it seems the spring clips are a different size to the LCR :(

I can't seem to find anything thats the same size, the best so far is 88mm x 62mm or 87mm x 65mm

I was told by Apec Brakes that they do them for the cupra R.

I spoke to there technical dept to get measurements and they said they were correct, but I had to order from a motor factors.

Anyway I ordered them (non returnable) and guess what.

They were a touch too long and far too narrow (so they move around).

They do work, but because they move there is some squeal when cornering sometimes.

So do not bother with the Apec Braking ones.

I have heard that focus RS ones will fit, but I don't want to spend another £35 to findout that they don't, but other than these 2, i've not heard of anything else that will fit.
