I have a strange fault on my 02 Cupra at the moment. When you start from cold on a frosty morning, the temp warning beeper goes off and the warning light flashes until you stop the engine. If you stop the engine immediately and restart, the fault goes away. I have checked the coolant level and it is fine. Also, the fault only occurrs on really cold mornings, so I figure it must be a faulty temp sensor somewhere - but why does it clear when you restart the engine regardless of how long it has been running
I tried calling in the AA man, but he came on a frost free morning and there was no fault
Can anyone suggest which sensor might be at fault, and where it is located?
