I'm Sam, nice to meet you *shakes hand*! Anyways, I recently joined here as I was in the process of buying a Seat Ibiza and yesterday, finally picked mine up. It's a 2005 Ibiza 6L Sport with a 1.9TDi Powerplant (the 99bhp Model) in Platinum Grey (not a colour I've seen very often, and I do like the colour quite a lot)! However, it's certainly in need of quite a lot of love and attention, because it does look quite good from a distance, but once you get more up close and personal with it, there are quite a few bits and pieces that need doing and you begin to realise that it is in desperate need of a full, in-depth detail and interior decontamination!
I'm currently working on the post for the Readers Rides Forum, and once that's posted, I'll try to add a link to this post for you guys to go and check it out! However, I think this is going to be quite a journey getting this lil' thing up to scratch and where I'd like it to be! Obviously, anything really in terms of Modifications will be out the window for some time due to my age (I'm only 17, and actually am being quoted pretty good prices for it once I'm a full licence holder but was unable to get the 1.4TDi due to them not being so available in my area). One thing from the several drives I noticed was that it can be quite unforgiving for drivers with not so many miles under their belt, but once I was in the swing of things (and after an ECU Fault Code was cleared after a slightly harsh stall), it's actually a pretty rewarding little thing to drive!
