Hi guys, im looking at my next mod after my REVO map.
Im looking at some HID's but I only have the standard headlights (non-projection), does anyone else have this sort of set up, if so whats it like, I.E light projection, does it blind other driver's, ect...
Im looking at the terminator kit (6000k) from HID's direct, but i have heard mix'd reveiws on it, some have had absolutly no problems, others have had flickering, strobeing, ect....

Any info, i would be greatful :)

I have the exact kit from HID's direct and 6000k and get the H7R kits they see to dazzle less. I've never been flashed or pulled by the police and totally transforms the car!!

DO ITTTTT

Give a search, seems to be new HID threads every day in this section!

Basically, they provide good visibility for you as a driver but can dazzle oncoming cars. They are also illegal.
If you want a set, the best kit is the terminator kit from HIDs direct.

I have the 5000K kit in my car with no problems, and as with oil I've never been flashed or pulled by the police so far.

And for the OP that's my 6000k HID's and compared to my osram Nightbreakers standard bulbs.

I would say 3-4 months and no flickering etc like some people have said. However I do get poor radio reception when they are turned on however there was a thread not long ago about how to fix it and I think it was an easy fix

I'm currently living in Scarborough m8, what about you??
Ahhh brilliant I was just wondering how long they last :)

Yarm/Liverpool! Yarm is near Middlesbrough so not too far away.

The bulbs aren't too expensive to replace if they blow - £16 for the pair from HIDs Direct

i have 4300k h7's and have had them checked by local garage and he said these would pass mot and the best he's seen for hid's also never been flashed or pulled so i don't think the h7r's are much better, my opinion is 6000k look like cheap hids and are more likely to get pulled for them.

I think 6000k look fine. 8000k look cheap because there blue-ish. 4300 are too yellowy.

Plus coppers don't pull that many people on light because there's that many bi-xenon's and HID's in projector lenses they would be wasting there time.

I think a lot more of the luxury manufacturers are moving towards 5000K bulbs. Both of my parent's cars have OEM Bi-Xenons and they both look a similar colour temperature to my HIDs.

4300K is daylight, 5000K is pure white, 6000K is white with a slight blue tinge.

I have just put mine in this week I had to ask a few questions last night mine where pointing down at first, but I did not put the retaining wire that holds the bulb on right since then my 6000k terminator from hids direct are awesome, I have just lowered the lens so they don't dazzle everyone. I don't have any radio issue either just make sure you don't put the ballast on metal.

It takes bout hour to put on.

The legality of aftermarket HIDs remains intact. Usually the only thing that makes them illegal is incorrect fitting or incorrect colour.

Lets face it 95% of people on here won't have access to a headlight beam tester so the fit them and forget or never bother properly aligning them i.e use the garage door technique. So the incorrectly aimed beam; dazzles other drivers, only lights up the floor 3 feet in front, lights up the pavement etc I'm guilty of it myself and I'm an mot tester and its not until you check them on the beam tester that you realise just how far out they were!?

Headlights incorrectly aimed > fails mot = illegal.

I wish I could find a center with a beam tester over in Egypt. I have projector lenses and HIDs in them, but they still aren't aligned the way I want them to.
