How do you refit the rear view mirror back onto the ball joint? 2015 Leon 5dr

Morning all, my little boys pulled my interior mirror off the ball joint attached to the screen and I can’t get it back on! Is there a knack to it?

Any help is appreciated.

Can’t help but would say very carefully, last person I saw doing this was on FB and cracked their windscreen :O

You have to hold it up to the mount at about 20 degrees from the installed orientation and then turn it clockwise to install it. It may take a little effort for the final click.

This video shows how to do it, and repeats the warning by Damo H about breaking the windscreen
