how to remove plastic fascia on the inside of the boot lid

hi all,
I've got a 2010 mkII Leon TDI FR and the boot mechanism isn't locking and while investigating have got stuck on the first hurdle. Have removed the 2 torx screws and inside light flaps on either end but the plastic fascia won't budge so can't get access to the boot mechanism. I can't see any more screws or any obvious pressure points, have searched for an hour or 2 but I can only find guides for other cars.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Cheers,
Alex

I removed the trim on my last car once and i had to pull the plastic trim VERY hard! It will make loud cracking type sounds but that's just the clips coming out as it should.

As above, remove the 2 screws then hold the boot up with one hand and a firm yank on the panel with the other and it'll come away. Don't be scared!

Thanks for the advice guys, managed to get the fascia off in the end.

Have just remembered I've still got 5 months warranty from Snows Seat in Portsmouth. Was going to link to a Youtube vid I made of the sound it makes but can't add links until I post 15 times

If you search youtube for WD0teORoOGE that's my vid of the mechanism sound it's making.
