Victor Meldrew eat your heart out. Got the Bocanegra back from the dealers on Tuesday all sorted mechanically. It had, received the cursory wash from the dealer carried out by Boris Rinsemechamoisalot. Any way break in the weather so thought would give it a good wash and a coat of polish to give a bit of protection. Anyway washed off the weeks grime and ............... JESUS MARY AND JOSEPH! the bottom of the drivers door is covered in chips and scratches some of them are down to the white under coat and one it to metal. The worst is the bottom edge of the door which has paint missing for an inch by 1/8th of an inch. Plus a ding in the skin about 1mm wide x 1cm long. All because they had the door too close to the hydraulic shaft of the vehicle hoist

They had the car for nearly 12 weeks, couldnt even look after it properly, it shows.
Also there are two marks on the front bumper down to the undercoat where something has been dropped on it

To say im is an understatement. Plus the tracking is out to boot. Mechanics, I have crapped better than some. Must post up the images when I get time.

More calls more moaning more beyatching really havent got time, any one want to take over from me for the next row tomorrow?

So yet another call tomorrow, more hassle of getting it back to sort the paint work more hassle of getting the tracking done next week.

Jason wish i was mate. Cant believe it. The missus burst into tears this morning over it all, cant have that. Time for them to get their chips away bod round. When I saw my car over Xmas the door was right next to the pillar of the hoist. I got in on the passenger side just incase I caught it myself trying to get in to get my barrier pass for work. More calls more hassle of getting it to them more bolox basically. What vexes me is that we also have a 6 year old car second hand as quick better paint work and less grief!

ask to see the vehicle check-in sheet which should have any damage that was already there when checked in and should be signed and dated when the check was carried out, no sheet and they have no proof that it wasnt there when it went in but if they carried out a check then they have a case to deny it providing everything is marked down.

you've hit the nail on the head about where the damage has come from. many 2 post ramps allow very little movement aspecially when opening the doors and if its been on and off a ramp for 12 weeks then thats the cause!

Hi mate I work in a Landrover dealership and rubbish about not being able to see the jobcard Is proper Bs the jobcards should be kept on record for years waranty work is all authed through a computer system( atleast LR is). Not that there will be anything on the jobcard sounds like there avoiding sorting it as for chips away I wouldn't bother get it properly painted.

yep swoosh seat is the same, all sorted via computer so they would definately 100% still have it, all be it blank ofcourse.

Well the new service manager is full of apology, admitted fault and is sorting a date with the body shop to get it painted. They are doing the door, and front bumper as well where something was dropped on the lip above the fog light, passenger side.

Body kit fit and painted at the same time. Be gone again for a few days. Also First Service being done
