Hey,
I'm interested in doing a bit of work on my Ibiza, it's all standard except I've already changed the wheels.
The first thing I'd like to do is change the front bumper to one that's squarer and lower, potentially with fog lights (is it possible to add fog lights?).
Does anybody know of any decent places selling good, not over-the-top body parts? I've had a little look on Google but not really come up with anything worthwhile.

This is a list of what I want to do so far:

• Lowered (I was told when I got the tracking fixed that it already has lowering springs, so just need to lower it more - not too much though!)
• Tinted windows + windscreen strip
• Smoked lights
• Seat covers
• Remapped
• Bumper
• Rust sorted (over rear wheel arches and under rear window - not major but it's there!)
• H.I.D. Headlights

Does anybody have any advice on any of this or any more ideas, especially about tuning? I'm interested in changing more relating to my engine rather than just concentrating on aesthetics but I don't have much experience or knowledge in that department - hence this post! :) I don't really need/want/have the money for anything like dump valves or air ride btw lol!
Also, if anybody could give me any ideas of price that would be awesome!
Cheers,
Nicole :)

What engine do you have? In your avatar it looks like a 1.4 but then you're talking about DVs which makes it sound like you have a cupra.

Haha, no I wish I had a Cupra! It is a 1.4, hence the no need for DVs, sorry for the confusion!

- good induction kit
- exhaust (down pipe an decat)

id say stick to that, anymore than that and you really need to start knowing what you are on about if you know what i mean (cams, turbo conversions etc etc), i also wouldnt invest too much money into improving the performance of a 1.4, wait till you get a cupra then spend the money on it ;). But a decent induction kit/ air filter and a nice exhaust system should see you additional 10-15bhp depending on what you do, and should increase throttle response a bit but id stick to that. i wouldnt worry about a remap, not worth the hastle. spend the money on making it look mint !!! :D

Sound, thank you! This is the sort of advice I need :) I'm learning more as I go along, I'm changing my manifold gasket in a few weeks as it's got an air leak. One of the mechanics lecturers as my college is going to teach me to do it myself as small hands are obviously going to be easier to get it out and the new one in. Hopefully he can teach me a few other things along the way :)
Are there any induction kits or exhausts that anyone could recommend?
Also, when I accelerate there's the nice deep hum, but there's a noise over the top that makes it sound a bit naff. It's difficult to describe, somebody said it sounds like a tractor the other day! "/ it had a service only about a month ago with a new cam belt as well, and it sounds better after that but there's still the noise over the top?

Yeah a few people have asked me if it's a diesel - I should know that's what the noise is like, this hot weather isn't doing wonders for my thinking skills, sorry! I guess it's just something to live with then!

Mark - I like the idea of black B-Pillars, and what you did to the front is pretty much exactly what I'd like to do with mine! Can you give me any advice on doing it, what parts to get, where from, etc?
Sorry for the lack of knowledge :S

I basically bought everything from David at SERE Motors, you'll find him in the dealer section of the forum. If you ask him for b-pillar vinyl for a mk3 Ibiza, he'll know what you're on about, its' pretty cheap too if I remember correctly, about £12 though that was a few years ago!
