Indicators

Being hard of hearing I have difficulty in knowing whether or not the indicators have canceled. The tell tale sound when the indicators are on is very weak and I would be interested to know if anybody had found a way to increase the sound. Mk 3 Toledo 2007. cheers aggie

I'm assuming that the visual flash on the dash doesn't really help?

There shouldn't be any issue with wiring a buzzer across the flasher relay, to trigger with the indicators. A buzzer can be bought from Maplin for a pound or so, you'd just need to have a look at the flasher relay to determine what pins would work best.

Hi Slimy, Thanks for getting back to me, A buzzer would be ideal, so I will need to locate the flasher unit and to this end I have just sent for a work shop manual on a CD which may give me a clue, unless you know where it is? aggie

doesnt the noise of the indicators come of the relay if so it could be a weak relay or something.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me. My problem is with my hearing. I have bought a relay with an in built buzzer. But, I cannot locate the original relay on the vehicle to change it, any ideas?. aggie
