Interior lights question..

Hi all,

I'm sure it's just me being silly.. but it's something I've never spotted before today and I'm sure it's absolutely normal.

However when I start the engine on my 2016 FR the interior lights flicker/dim for a second including the speedo etc.. the headlights and taillights don't flicker or dim at all, only the interior... is this normal or signs of an ageing battery? I can't think a 4 year old battery would need replacing yet?

Thanks,
Gav

The state of health of a 4 year old EFB will mainly depend on how the car is being used, lots of people will be finding 4 years is a lifetime for one of them if the car is frequently used on short journeys, but, one reasonable way to gauge the health of a battery in a car with Stop/Start is - is auto Stop/Start being enabled early on in the journey, if was and now is not, then that is an indication that the battery is not in good health.
