ipod mount in Altea XL?

I head off to France at end of week and got a new ipod Classic to keep us occupied on way.
Has anyone found a suitable mount for ipods or do you just leave them lying in the cubby under the dashboard?
Was wondering if I could do something clever with one of the cup holders, maybe even using the ashtray thing that came with the car to somehow or other mount the ipod.

I think you can get holders that clip onto the air vents but I am expecting (or hoping) that its going to be nice and hot so will be using a/c down there so will not want any of the vents blocked!

Looks good but maybe a bit expensive.
Think I might resort to some sticky back velcro, its a lot cheaper!
