Is it Remapped?

Hi,

I have a feeling that my car has been remapped for the following reasons:

1) 0-60 seems quicker than 10.5 secs or so, which i believe is standard.
2) Turbo pick up seems very quick
3) Turbo whistle disappears when driving along, suggesting that the turbo is spinning higher than standard.

I was wondering, apart from taking it to someone with a vag com, is there another way of checking to see if it has been remapped? It has been serviced since I have owned it and the dealer said nothing.

As I am selling the car I would like to be honest to the buyer. Also Id like to know myself.

Easy ways are:

1) Try "competing" against a few other cars on the road that you know the rough output of, and see how it compares (hit'n'miss, but free). Or:
2) Get it on a rolling road.

Whereabouts in the country are you ?

think there's too many variables in "racing someone". I would really try finding someone with vag com local to you and checking boost.

Im in Bristol at the moment. Because the cars for sale Im not sure if I have the time/money to get to a rolling road.

Would be interesting though...

Also Im back using the standard air filter now.
