Hi everyone, ive just joined and im seriously considering switching to a 2007-2009 cupra.
At the moment I drive a mk5 golf gti, absoloutly amazing car and i wouldnt have any less. My girlfriend was looking at a new car and i suggested the leon fr tfsi, (basically a golf) Anyway a few months went by and now were expecting twins!! god help me haha. So anyway weve decided to get a car between us because the golf is 3 door so will have to go and with this being my 2nd golf i dont fancy another so thought we will get a cupra, any excuse for a ko4 turbo

After all that all i want to know is does the leon cupra have isofix like the golf? ive dont a search but cant find a definitive answer, with some saying yes, no and some saying a base plate has to be installed?

Heres my golf, will be for sale shortly :(
(wont let me post a pic untill ive got 15 or more posts)

Be warned if you have leather interior (can't comment on cloth as I have leather) it really squashes the seat padding.

Thankfully by the time my child seat is removed the car will be being traded in.

Cheers guys, I didnt even know they did a leather interior. Yeah right! more like double the trouble. I will be keeping an eye out for a cupra for sale off the forum, ideally already at stage 1, if not i will be heading straight to the tuners. Luckily i already now about the engine so its nothing new to me, My golf is on stage 2 with a full miltek.

Just fitted seat in my K1 with the isofix and it does squash the seat and can imagine the if it has leather would probably caused quite significant creases

As the proud owner of twins, firstly good luck. Secondly, I appreciate you want a five door car that's a bit nippy, but you might want to consider something that has a boot. You end up carting a hell of a lot of crap around.... If I only had twins and a single car, I'd be seeking out an A4 or A6 Avant with a large engine in it. Unfortunately I have another child and a big commute therefore the missus has an SMax as family bus (fitting 3 child seats across the back of most normal cars is impossible) and I've got a Leon for the commute (where the eldest kids booster seat has to go in the front to fit them all in when needs must).

Hi Karl, i ve got a 2007 cupra and we have got an isofix car seat in at the moment, yes does squish seat a little but its a small price to pay in my opinion,

Good luck with twins, feeding at the same time will be fun,
