Hey guys,
I recently had the injectors replaced on my FR TDI by Seat and ever since there seems to be a problem with DPF regeneration.

The probelm is that the car kind of judders everytime the DPF is regenerating. It feels like someone has tied a rope to the car and is pulling it backwards. The revs don't dip, but there is momentary loss of power form the engine. Once DPF regen is complete is all goes back to normal.

I have gone back to the garage concerned and got the usual response of 'not our problem / it isn't anything to do with the injector replacement'.

Does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be? I want to get some pointers before taking it back to the garage to at least point them in a possible direction.

Thanks,
Jamie

Alright mate, ive had this EXACT same problem. 12 weeks of SEAT stoke messing me around, and i had enough of their lies and time wasting i just didnt bother going back. im planning a remap and removal in august so thought id just put up with it for two months, but very interested to see what happens with this.

did you have any other work done at the same time?

No I didn't have anything else done at the same time. Just the injector/wiring loom replacement.

It actually took a while before I noticed because my wife mostly drives our Leon now, but it is really annoying.

I took mine back numberous times and they just said everytime theres no problem and its normal. the other thing was, my DPF light was coming on every 3-6 days, where as before it had come on once. they completely denied any liability and basically tried to fob me off at every opportunity. I took the matter up with SEAT UK who advised i get it sorted elsewhere and then contact them with the details if there are any

Hmm, can you explain what the DPF regen is? Although the injectors have been replaced 2 years ago (I think), these past few weeks I've been experiencing the same kind of feel... sometimes it just drops power and then is fine, only lasts for a few seconds. But once the engine is warm, or been driving around for a bit it stops. The car has only been doing short journeys recently (town driving).

EDIT: Okay so was lazy, read up on it.

My light however hasn't come on in months, so no idea what's going on.

Hello I know it was years ago ... But I'm currently dealing with this same situation now. Did the remap and removal help at all? Thank you in advance
