Juddering/Engine cuts out

I have a 65 plate 2.0L tdi automatic Leon FR. It’s been playing up a lot recently and I can’t solve the problem. Diagnostic throws nothing back so I’m just trying things to sort it myself.

I’ll be driving and all of sudden the car will start juddering - can be in any gear going slow or fast. The rpms drop every time the judder happens and on top of that, sometimes when I come to a full stop I’ll press the acc and it’ll completely cut out and say “start engine manually”

I’ve changed the MAF sensor (no difference) and fit a new fuel filter (no difference). Was looking into a DPF flush and a gearbox service but that’s not going to be cheap. Was going to stick one of those fuel injector cleaner bottles in when I fill up next but don’t entirely trust they even work. Mixed reviews online.

Has anyone else had the same problem or can offer any advice?

Starts up fine and drives fine apart from the problem. It had a new battery in Feb after a major service so I don’t know if it’s power related. The juddering is just becoming more frequent and the cut outs are risky (avoiding busy roads).
I’ve got a couple of cross country drives coming up in the next few months so I’m doing all I can to fix it. It’s deffo due a gearbox service but Seat want £412 and local mechs want £280-£350 so just trying all the cheaper alternatives first.
I’ll try wynns injector cleaner tomorrow unless you can recommend a better one?

If i've had juddering in a car, it's either ignition or fueling. Really hard to suggest anything as don't want to waste your time/money.

I would carry out some data logging of your various sensors - crank/cam/maf/temp/fuel pressure etc.. to see what your sensors are doing when you get a judder.
Is it only in any particular group of gears? 1,3,5 or 2,4,6? if yes - could be something like your clutch pack or associated hydraulics?

It seems to be in any gear at any speed but only once the engine has warmed up. Specialist can’t see anything and said until a warning light appears there isn’t much they can do, he said he’ll give it a more visual check during its MOT next month but to use the fuel injector cleaner and DPF cleaner in the next fill ups. It’s strange because he said it’s one of the cleanest reports he’s seen in a long time so I really don’t know. I may get them to do an EGR and DPF deep clean if it passes the MOT
