Popped over to Awesome yesterday to get my full Milltek fitted and an APR fuel pump.

Impressed with the RR results as even though it was a pretty warm day on the 8th run it gave up 350bhp and 390lbft at the clutch! :funk: (336bhp at the wheels).

One of Awesome's techies said after they had finished the setup "it's a monster!"

Not had much chance to try it out properly yet as the roads back to Liverpool were too busy and now I am home it is raining

Will try and get the graph scanned later...

Big thanks to all the guys at Awesome for their excellent work yesterday.

I am a ferry journey + 40 mins away!

Car feels great, but the roads aren't dry yet so I am trying to be patient....

APR pump is ~£750 which is a lot more than an Autotech one, but they are refurbs in effect so I think it was Al (correct me please if I am wrong...) that made the point that if he were doing this sort of upgrade he would want the whole pump with new seals not just changed internals.

Just had a 30 mile drive to settle in to the new noises and power - to say it is now lively would be a gross understatement! I thought it was damn quick before, but now it is verging on lethal! Didn't do any instant WOT acceleration as the roads are not completely dry yet, but even so third fourth and fifth are like new gears :drive1:

Much better exhaust noise now over the stock exhaust which was probably the biggest let down when I moved from my R32 to the K1. The noise it made on the RR was fantastic especially as it got towards the redline when there was a wild whine/whistle from the intake and turbo too.

Also got the follower changed as the Awesome guys spotted it had started to wear - not much, but didn't see the point in not doing it at the same time.

Not quite up on the K1 specs, what turbo do they run, and to get those figures how much work is invovled? I am not thinking of changing, asking out of interest... very impressive all the same! Do love the K1s !

Not checked yet and forgot to ask at the time. It was running B7 F6 T5 with stage 1 if I remember correctly - meant to drop the boost a bit and kept forgetting...

I think lower figures for normal use may be expected with the uprated map, but I am not sure quite how the improved fueling alters the settings. I did run B8 F9 T5 for the 1/4 mile runs I did last year.

I'm running B8 T5 F6.....also try B7 T4 F7 remember with the fuel setting the higher the leaner so with the APR Pump u should be about 6......have u noticed the flatspot thats common at 5-5.2K revs? I have fitted the RS4 Valve.

you shouldnt ave been running fuel 6 for a stage 1 mate thats megga rich , suprised you didnt have fuel cuts tbh

Did notice a bit close to the redline, but didn't really notice anywhere else. Not noticed the "flat spot" yet since the 2+ - too busy going "Waaaaahh!" while adjusting the steering.....!

Dont bother pissing about with trying this that and the other settings every car is different and reacts to different settings. Log the car via vagcom and set the settings to suite.

Make sure theres a bit of headroom with regard to timing pull, im running around 2 in all cylinders which is fine ;)

You may find you get more power and run less timing pull with the right settings than just random settings people have dreamt up on here.

Haha! Sound advice; I wasn't planning on touching anything for a while, but I will check what the current settings are tomorrow out of interest and report back. I want to get the VCDS on the car to check out the acceleration timings etc. and log the retardation, air flow and so on.

Need to borrow my mate to hold the laptop! If he's not too scared...
