Ok I basically need to refurbish all four of my alloys. 2 are kerbed and 2 are flaky corroded etc. Now using the search on here I can see a few people managed to get theirs done for £40 - £60 quid a wheel.

I have been looking on the net and can only find prices around £80 a wheel. :-o :wtf:

Can anyone suggest a place thats reasonable? I don't see the point in paying about £80... totals £320. Caould pick up some new ones for not much more!!!

Any advice would be most grateful.

There are two places in Romsey, I can't remember the name of one (something like TVS I think?) but there is a place called Solent Wheels that are good ( www.solentwheels.co.uk ). Not sure on pricing, but I have first hand experience of the quality of their work and it is very good.

There is also Halfords who now offer wheel repairs. You can get a quote in store.

Wicked Wheels ( www.wickedwheels.co.uk ) operate in this area too, and they have a fairly good reputation. Their website seems to be playing up a bit, but it's worth giving them a call.

Another place is a bodyshop called MotorColor (02380 333 690) who are based next to the Honda dealer on West Quay Road. They did a full respray on my LCR and I asked at the time about wheel refurbishing and they said they have a bloke who does it for them. Worth calling for info :)

Hope this helps, and post back when you have them sorted as I quite fancy doing mine too :)

got my 17 inch wheels refurbished last year for £60 the lot, thats £15 a wheel! May cost more for a 18 inch
that was from Bournes Powder Coaters, in Birmingham Digbeth may be too far for you

Thanks all for your advice. Cheers RobM - good few to try there.

I will post back when I've had them done with cost and pics.

Thanks again everyone.

Tried them for a set of 17's and now they want £30 per wheel wasnt too impressed with the quality on their demo wheels. Apparently they have new owners or something. Managed to find somewhere round the corner who did good job at £20 per wheel but would rather have paid £15.
