key fob not working!!!!

hi i got 2 new batteries for my key fob today as they were on there way out since i got my cupra but now its not opening my car at all, but my fob lights up any ideas

You put the baterries in the right way??


Or check your manual for the keyfob reset thinging. Think you pur the key in the ignition press the open button then your fob will flash 5 times or sumet.

I had problems with my Leon but realised I had the battery the wrong way

Hahaa easily done lol my fobs never worked dont really care just lazy thing anyway all the doors lock off it in the key hole lol

well i did that put the key in, turn the ignition on, held the button etc and all my doors unlocked but still nothing so yea batteries are in the right way lol

Did it not work with the old batteries in either? Sorry just assumed it was working before you changed the batteries nevermind.

yea but was playing up so thats why i thought the batteries were on there way out and changed them!

Well if you put the old ones back in and it works again, then you know it's the new battery. If you put the old ones in and it still doesn't work, then we know it's something else.

Would you rather we tell you to replace the whole central locking system when a new battery would have solved it?

all fixed now shaun21 fixed it think it was something to do with the prongs inside the fob!!!
