Hi,

I have a recently purchased a Leon S Emocion 1.6TD 5dr Hatchback (2011).

This evening I managed to accidently knock the rear view mirror and it came completely out.

I read a similar forum on here but i beleive its not the same model.

The description fits but i cant see how i would remove the light module in front of it.

i have tried slipping the mirror back in using WD40 but theres not much room and its too fiddly.

i'm sure you can gather from this - i'm rubbish with this kind of thing.

HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!!!!!!!

There is a spring loaded ball at each end of the fitting. Get one ball in first (mirror at an angle) then pop the other one in. some force is needed but I found that you will never do it by popping both balls in at the same time (twice as much force needed)

Popping both balls in at the same time is very difficult, try lubricant . . . . .

Spin the plastic cover 90 degrees so you can see either side of it. Put one side in first and line the other side up then give it a little hit with a closed fist to pop it back in. Be careful to hold it secure with the other hand as not to break anything. Then just pry the plastic cover back round with a small fly blade screwdriver. The cover only fits one way also.
