LCr backbox!

Ok not wanting to sound like a newbie but just took a cupra in against a diesel one I had in and the exhaust looks like this!

Cyclops! One of the twin pipes is missing an the hanger is gone too!

Well I have an LCr back box kicking around. Just checking it will fit the rest of the exhaust? Does the bumper need modding or will it fit in the exhaust gap on the bumper?
Also check out where the missing pipe is melting the black plastic in the exhaust aperture!

I'd just offer it up and have a look I'm sure the cupra and cupra r are the same backbox just diff middle pipes

To make my LC box fit my LCR bumper I had to modify the exhaust hanger.

I think from memory the LCR bumper sits closer to the edge of the car.

It's just a big standard 2001 cupra mate. No LCr bumper just wanted to know if pipe work is the same etc

That's what I was trying to get at mate, I had to modify mine to fit a LCR bumper so to fit a LCR exhaust surely it would also need modifying?

is the exit hole on the R bumper in a different location to a standard bumper?does it take much to modify it to fit a standard bumper?
just want a bleedin exhaust to fit to it so i can sell it on! standard one or not! aint paying what the stealers want for one! if it was my cupra it would be different!

No worries thought you had missed what I meant lol

The cupra exhaust sits slightly more central compared to the cupraR. It should fit with modification to the hanger IMO.

I have the miltek R box, bigger pipe than standard LC exhaust and it sits further out the bumper as the LCR bumpers are deeper

What I'm worried about is will it go straight in the aperture left by the original box without having to bend or cut anything. Worried il have to have the bumper cut or modify the exhaust! And it will mate to the centre section yes?

Mine went straight in the space, used the standard hangers, then was mated to my 2 1/2" system fine think the lcr is 2.75"?

It will stick past the bumper

Sticking out not a problem. Is standard centre pipe on lc 180 2 1/2"? Guess a garage or exhaust place should be able to mate it though?

No a touch over 2" 55mm iirc yeah childs play for an exhaust place.

Happy days! Haven't seen an exhaust as bad as this before on a cupra! It was melting the bumper! Sounded good though......

lol you will think you have gone deaf with the LCR box fitted i only have that and a 200 cell cat and mine is silent
