Alright guy's, new here, my names Jason i drive a Fabia VRS at the minute so im asking on behalf of a friend.

Is there a known problem with the LCR clutches after a Remap? The car is Revo'd and we think the clutch has gone? basically gears weren't selectable for a short period and there was an awful clutch smell (im familiar with this as my fabia fried its clutch after a remap)

So we pulled over and let the clutch etc cool down for a while, then we limped it back to my house to store the car, so i drove it but didn't find what i expected, when my clutch went it slipped but the LCR clutch was not slipping, obviosly i didnt give it the beans but no slip like the fabia at all?

Well made it to my house and the gearbox was all clunky and hard to select gears and the burning smell was still there.

So basically question is what you guys think is fubar'd? and whats the uprated part?

Sachs clucth?

TBH i have no idea as im a Skoda man.

Thanks a lot
Jason:)

The uprated parts can be the clutch and fly wheel
The standard fly wheel is £450 and an uprated one is £200
Clutches that are used here are mostly Specs and Helix
Sounds like the clutch and it can hold till higher torque say in 4th at 3,000 RPM

Whats the better clucth to get and where's the cheapest place to source both the clutch and fly, im guessing the fly is the same as the fabia vrs? 240mm?

Cheers
