How the hell do you switch of what ever part of the cars brain that cuts the throttle when you left foot brake?

Does this annoy anyone else?
Track days are a PITA, bedding in brakes takes longer, drying off pads after puddles etc, the list goes on!

Someone must know!

Dave? Rob? Bill?

I remember the first and probably last time I tried to left foot brake.
In the g/f's Clio. I nearly dislocated my shoulder on the belt.
Must take some practice as whatever pressure I thought I was applying was x10 :cartman:

press the brake first then the gas it will cut out but lift off gas and go back on the gas and you can do it that way a pain but you can o it!!an if your left foot braking you should never touch the brake and the gas at the same time always on one or the other!!i never have the problem of it cutting out

isn't there two brake pedal switches on the Leon?

one for the lights, one for the ECU?

yes. two of them, working in different directions also from memory

To stop mine I disconnected (via switch) the brake lights and the ecu then did'nt know brake was being applied.. It did however pop up implausable signal as its expecting to see only brake and only throttle applied.
If you make other means for lights to work then this seemed to work for me. Mine was sprinting so only me on track @ time so no lights was not a concern.

Wrong. if you ever go on a track or drive at any sort of speed, left foot braking is used more oftern than not, going into and through a bend mostly, resons is that is means you can usually bring back any understear you get from being FWD and move it to slight overstear to correct it, basically like pulling on the handbraak slightly while still flooring it.
So your still powering through the bend and not taking any hands of the wheel.
