hi,

just been to the garage to get my headlight beam sorted when he looked at it he straight away asked where i got the headlights from etc and said look at the beam they are both slating up on the right hand side he said these are not made for the uk etc he said it should be going up on the left hand side but these are both going up on the right

he said you get stickers to change the beam but it'l make it look crap so i suggest you sell them and get some normal lights on

i have seen quite a few members with the same headlights on here how did you adjust them etc

or is there a rhd/lhd lever or adjuster i missed

thank you

From what i know matey there is a manual adjuster on the headlights that you can fiddle around with . im sure ive read about it somewere .

try doing a search with "Projector headlights" in the cupra forum search bar im sure there will be some info

were did you buy these ??

try searching for a Guy called Taz . he previously had Angel Eye headlights im sure he will be able to help you becasue he sold his recently so he must have seen weather or not his ones came with adjusters etc :)

If they're from eBay or similar it may be that you've been sent European ones - i.e. for a left hand drive as the 'kick up' of the light pattern is the other way round to in the UK...

i.e. __/ __/ rather than \__ \__

Agreed sometimes the sellers don't or try to avoid telling you this, as has been mentioned before top end lights such as the Hella set I had on my old Golf had a lever on each headlight that you could move to change from LHD to RHD.
Best to get this sorted as you will be blinding all oncoming traffic, and become something of a police magnet!

hi guys

thanks for the replies
ivedriven with them for over a year and ive been ok so far i remember on my polo when i bought angel eyes they had levers to change

when i bought these headlights i was told they were rhd i think i have the box them too somewhere il have a look

there are manual adjusters to make the beam go up and down there is a similar adjuster near the indicator bulb would that make any difference for example if i completly made the drivers side beam flat level with main beam would that be ok?

even tho the passenger would still be going up on the right

Strip them down and flip the plate in the projectors over.

All you do is remove the dome for the projector (4 screws) as in the below pic and flip the plate over
