hi there happy new year to everyone, i have a Leon Cupra BTCC 2.0TFSI 240BHP with the normal single exit oval/square tail pipe, im looking to fit the factory fitted dual exit rear box or a dual exit rear box with oval/square tail pipes but i have been onto my local seat parts dealer and they cant find the dual exit exhaust on there system anywhere, but surely it must be there as it was a factory fitted optional extra?? either that or im happy to fit an after-market dual oval/square rear box but cant find anyone who does that either??

my concern it that my rear bumper is cut on the left side for the standard oval/square exhaust tip, therefore if i fit the factory dual exit exhaust with the round tips that the holes cut in the bumper will obviously look to big??

also the small black trim that fits to the bumper around the exhaust cut out in the bumper is only available for the left hand side according to seat. so i would have one side with the trim surround fitted and not the other???

if anyone could find me the factory part numbers for the dual exit rear exhaust with the round tips and the left and right trim surrounds that would be great as seat seem to be struggling and it would help me to sort something out., any pics of the factory fitted exhaust from underneath would be great to. its all got a bit confusing!

There was a post on here the other day and you were advised correctly, the rear bumper section is only available with the left cut out so you would have to trim the right side.

I have no knowledge as per part numbers though im sure someone will help you out ;)

The rear silencer is part number 1P0 253 609 ? The last digit is a letter denoting the correct part for the engine model and year.

They come as a pair i ordered some from Sere Motors (they are a dealer in NI and are one of the sponsors on here) send them a PM and he'll sort them out for you. I think they are around £12 for the pair delivered, he could also sort the exhaust for you he's unbelievably helpful and knows his stuff!

I might be wrong but I thought the part listed in the other thread was for normal cupra/fr bumpers not btcc.

If its a Cupra you have then i'm sure miltek do an oval pipe?

If not, then like the man said, a custom effort would be your best bet.

Milltek do a twin exit under the FR section but id of thought it wouldn't look right as the cut out allready in the Cupra bumper will be much bigger than the exhaust tip.

Why not try this, it's designed for the Cupra (Oval shape) so I'd assume it's the right size and shame tip and you get a template to cut the trim out for the opposite side so it looks OEM.

Im quite intrigued about this exhaust/brand as its 3" diameter which Milltek is 2.75" and is says they use stainless steel and give life time warranty.

Would be interested in the sound and gains from it if anyone knows?

thats the problem as you stated P13ULC the cut out for the standard cupra exhaust would look to big i think for the dual exit round tips??

i cant find a picture of someone's car that's fitted with a dual exit with round tips and has the bigger cut outs in the bumper, would be nice to find one to see what it would look like???

the cut outs in the bumper are really swinging me from round tips to oval tips but once the exhaust is ordered i doubt i can send it back so have to go with one or the other??

thats why i would love to see a pic of a dual exit with round tips with the larger cut outs???

This is the reason I haven't sorted an exhaust yet, I would like the round exits as well so I reckon the only way would be to order the new cupra R gloss black insert/diffuser for the bumper, afaik they fit the pre facelift bumper. The thread below shows the diffuser.

yes problem is though mine is a btcc so the rear bumper has no trim it is all one piece so you cant just change the lower valance trim for the one you want, the other problem is these btcc bumpers are made from a certain type of plastic that doesnt weld, as i found out when i had to repair the front bumper. so i cant just weld a piece of plastic in to make the cut out hole smaller. im thinking that maybe a dual exit with round tips and the rear valance of the bumper painted black, that the holes wont look so bad. im just not that keen on the oval tips but also havnt seen a btcc bumper with oval tips???? the original cupra exhaust tip as a dual would be great!!!

if you could get a dual exhaust with removable tips that would be great as i could put the tips on i like, but dont fancy buying a expensive exhaust and having to cut the tips off.!!

i think i may go with the dual exit genuine seat sport exhaust with the larger cut outs in the bumper as i put my bumper on today and i dont think you will notice the cut outs as on a btcc rear bumper the cut outs are tucked fairly well under the car and with the bottom painted black i think it will look ok.
