Hello
Does anyone know if the new 17' facelifted leon FR come with an engine start/stop button as standard or if its part of the keyless entry package? I cant seem to find a photo of one without the button.

Cheers
Nick

Hi, no it comes with a normal key. It doesnt have auto lights or rain sensors, neither does it have auto dim rear view mirror. However all (except start stop button) these can be fitted in much cheaper if u install them yourself, buying parts from ebay

To be fair im not too arsed about the auto wipers/lights. ive never found a set that work properly anyway. I may do the start stop if its not too much of a bugger about though.

It's only £160 to add auto lights and wipers. Paying the £80 for interior LED lights seems a no-brainer too.

I know the rain and light sensors arnt too much extra but they seem like a waste to me. The wipers are never on the right speed for the rain and the lights are hardly an issue. Not too fussed about interior LED's either. Have opted for front parking sensors though

I couldnt wait for the car so i picked up what was avsilable at the time. Luckily i got 1 within 3 weeks, otherwise ordering one would take 4 months atleast

Auto lights and wipers work fine on mine, no complaints at all. They seem more logical to me than front parking sensors. The auto dimming mirror is very helpful too especially with the amount of Muppets that appear to have poorly adjusted headlights!!!

They work really well on mine, the lights come on when I'd be putting lights on anyway (I have mine at the most sensitive setting), as do the wipers.

If nothing else, it's going to make it a less desirable car later down the line when you come to sell it. It's 2017, these are basic features a car of this class should have.

I always wondered why cars needed front sensors, back sensors I get, as Leon has large C pillars and small window outback...but if you can't see where you are parking your car in front...(or your seat to too low perhaps?) then....

they're great for parking tight against walls :)

Don't the DRLs/Headlights reflecting off the wall kinda tell you when you are just about to hit the wall when they almost 'disappear' from view? At least I use these method, as I, to date haven't driven/owned a car with parking sensors before.

Also there was someone on the forum managed to still hit a 'very low' wall that topped off just below the sensors, and bam!
