Hi, I picked up my 2005 fr 150 yesterday and on the motorway on the way home I noticed the clutch was slightly slipping if I put my foot down in 5th or 6th gear! I called the garage (who are 150 miles away) and he offered me £300 towards a new clutch or I could give him the car back for a full refund. Now I love this car and would prefer to replace the clutch!
My question is, can I just replace the clutch plate or do I have to buy a new dual mass flywheel too. Im not planning on remapping the car so id be happy with a standard clutch!

Thanks in advance for any help :)

You can just replace the clutch, but I'd recommend taking it to some sort of vag or trusted garage and get them to check the dmf at the same time. Also, if you engage the clutch, does it make a noise? If so get the clutch release bearing changed whilst the gearbox is out too. Vag say the the oil in our gearboxes is oil for life, but maybe worth getting that done whilst you're at it?
Mine had just a clutch done, and nearly a year later I changed the dmf because I thought it was breaking, but it was the diff lol.

Oh and no I dont get any noises or rattles or vibrations in the pedal! Just every now and then it slips in 5th and 6th in low revs

I meant get them to check the dual mass flywheel, mine was tartly and I always put it down to the clutch release bearing but it was the diff, so I replaced the box. If there are no noises I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.
