Leon MK2 Spoiler... Questions Please?

Hello,

I am currently interested in going for this spoiler:

I was wondering if anyone has bought this before? If so what is it like? Do you have any photos of it installed? Was it a easy fit?

I am told it is made of GRP Plastic? Can anyone give me some information on the different types of body kits. I am told ABS is the best?

A list of the common types and which is best to worst would be great. If someone could tell me if GRP is good or not then I would be most grateful.

First question is your car Facelift (2009-) or Pre-Facelift (2005-2009)

If its pre then it wont fit

As above, if you have a pre fl leon that wont work and secondly I must admit I do not like the look of that at all.

You can buy it directly from RDX. They usually have good quality parts from what I have heard.
The ones you can find on e-bay for 50EUR or so, are made from fiber, not plastic, and the quality is very poor (I have returned one of those ...). With RDX I have one problem, it is 45EUR the shipping to RO witch I find way to much!

man I know tastes are different .. I don't like the rims, the spoiler, or anything seat or wv did from the point where the facelift came on... next car must be jap/korean or something coz' europe is going down.

JubeiTigeruk, if your Leon is a facelift model. why not get the OEM spoiler, looks much better, neater and it's cheaper.

Even if it's pre FL, i think the OEM spoiler looks good.

Shallower front bumber, rear lights were re-designed slightly, different, flat-bottomed steering wheel, heater controls, different dials.

I think the rear lights look so much better on the facelift model, it's such a simple change that's been done. I think the spoiler looks better on the FL too.

Hey guys, sorry for the slow reply.

Mine is the 59 Plate so I believe it to be the Face life version.

I am into that spoiler, I find the OEM one a bit boring if I am honest. Having gone from a Type R EP3 I kinda like that look still but I don't know I guess if I don't find a good quality assured spoiler I would rather go for the OEM one than nothing at all seen as I am going to get a Front Spliter too.

I am only looking to keep this car for a bit of time just wanting to change it slightly without going insane on pricing so maybe a OEM one will be a better choice.

What are your thoughts on this Front Spliter?
