Not sure which part of the forum this should be in but as its a Leon I'll start it here.

Just come back from town where I was parked in a public car park, parked in space, nice and neat between the lines as anyone sensible would.

When I returned to the car I found the car next to me was on the line, only about 6 or 7 inches from my car. When I got in the car looking in the mirror I noticed 4 or 5 new dents, almost look like creases, in the rear passenger driver side door. I left a note on the windscreen of the other car asking them to contact me and tried to store the registration number in my phone except my phone did its usual trick and hasn't saved anything. When i got home I inspected the door and found a scratch down to white (I assume its primer). The dents are pretty much invisible apart from in the mirror but its very annoying, I try to take good care of my car but stuff like that gets on my nerves, makes me f**king angry to be honest.

Anyway, my question is what options do I have if they do get in touch, I appreciate that without the reg number i'm pretty much buggered if they don't give me a ring but what can I do if they do ring, what if they ring but refuse to take any blame? Is there anyway to prove it was them or can they easily argue that its wasn't them? Unfortunately I was too pi**ed off to think about taking any photos of their parking until too late. Am I going to have to live with this or fork out myself.

God, now I'm in a bad mood! Sorry it turned into a rant too, was meant to be a nice simple question

As you don't have their reg and you left the 'scene' I doubt very much there is anything you can do. You don't even have photos to prove they were there. Unfortunately you'll have to accept the new damage and pay for it yourself.

It is very frustrating when I find new dents on my car :-( it's black so I usually don't notice til the light hits it right or i'm cleaning it by which time whoever did it is obviously long gone!

You may be able to have one of these mobile dent places fix the dents if they are repairable.

If they DO ring I doubt very much they will accept blame and as soon as you ask for any money they'll likely hang up and run a mile!

As I thought then, wish I hadn't been quite so fuming as I may have remembered to take photos.

Just kind of disappointing how people treat others property. It may not be a Cupra or anything fancy but as I'm not a home owner its the most valuable thing I own and I try to treat its as such. Seems to be too much to ask for other people to do the same

Worst thing is the dents are visible in the mirror and I find my self staring at them, I do the same after I've washed and waxed it too, marvelling at how ace it looks (used to look now:()
