louder dv noise?

I have removed bonnet lining and although its made the 007 dv easier to hear inside the car its not loud enough

how do I mate it louder? currently running a standard exhaust system bar the decat. and then a panel filter, not sure which, maybe green cotton?

anyway best way to mate a louder woosh noise?


...as said elsewhere, I want it so loud it blows up the skirts of hot chicks as roar passed hehe


Forge bov better? Iv been recommended the Neuspeed P-Flow kit? Am looking for a heat shield anyway at some point.

Maybe try a Split-R valve? I wouldn't go for a full BOV, as they can cause issues with the engine management and MAF readings.

A proper cold air intake will help the noise.

tbh I put the neuspeed induction kit on and its getting on my tits abit you can hear it dump every time you put your accelerate and its too loud for me would not be so bad if it didn't do it every time i changed gear lol

Excuse the question but why do people get obsessed with dv noise? I'd rather hear a nice exhaust note than the continuos hiss and woosh of an induction kit on turbo car and dump valve noise, it's the wooshy hissing that gets on my tits, as I say I prefer just an angry exhaust thundery rasp, to me excessive dv noise just says "look at me" not my cup of tea but that's my sixpence worth, I'll always be a standard airbox uprated panel and 007 man personally! Less is more in my book.

Smoothing and drilling the air box will make it louder, well the smoothing won't but you might aswell do that too.

might try smoothing and drilling willing im pretty much skint, well any money is going on visual mods a the mo, need tro get the car looking up to scratch, no point making people turn and look if what they see is guna burn they eyes (lol) its not that bad really, just need to paint the wheels & lower it

Open cone apexi filter made my dv noise louder does make turn around when you come off boost but I got the apexi filter because it's an excellent product the noise was just a bit of a bonus for me

Lol sometimes does take over, we are talking about silly things, I obsess over the cleanliness and mechanical welfare but pick a filter setup and uprate the dv and just leave it alone don't reverse it, it wasn't designed to work this way! chirp or shhhh does it bloody matter guys gee just get out and drive the dam thing.

I dont have my 007 in reverse but i can tell you it was made to work both ways, even forge say so.

Does get annoying in reverse after about 2 weeks!!! just leave it how it was.
DV noise isn't important in my opinion, Tried everything with mine reversing 007 and using a split r and both were annoying after a while. just have the 007 the normal way and a nice panel filter this is the best set up to me.

Lots of guys fiddle with things on there cars here that don't need to be played with (like split r valve n249 bypass etc) and in some cases making them worse. Just do what captain cupra says!! drive the damn thing!!

Open cone as said Ben I went from ram air cone witch was pretty loud to jetex witch was even louder a remap will help to lol but tgat will be in the future for you
