I did a search but couldn't find this particular topic...

I'm thinking of lowering my Cupra (Eibach Pro springs, 30mm), but I have Team Dynamics ProRace1.2 alloys fitted and I'm a bit concerned the tyres will catch the arches as the front wheels seem to stick out quite far

Anyone with any experience of these who can comment?

Cheers :)

You should be fine depending on how low you go. Anthony37 has them on his K1 and he can belt it round a corner and I heard very minor rubbing..... oh no wait.... they will never work mate, you need to sell them to me ;)

 quality, u need to go into sales jas' hehe

Rich what's the offset of you're 1.2s? any more than ET42 and u might get a little rubbing on big bumps or really tight bends. 30mm drop u should be ok, I've dropped mine by 45mm at the front with ET45 wheels, get a tiny bit of rubbing occasionally

Also forgot to ask if they were 18"ers?

Sorry to thread wreck but do you think I would be fine with 18x8, et48 lowered on sportlines?
Need to order springs and am not sure which ones.

Yeah they're 18" Not sure on offset, I think they're ET45 but I'll take one off when I get chance to make sure

Are the standard Cupra wheels ET52?

I think standard is et52 or there abouts, a few of us have lower than standard setups and run ET45 (inc' me) and are all ok, its only when you hit a bigish bump at speed or a really tight qwk bend u may get a little rubbing but nothing to worry about. I'm taking delivery of a set of 1.2s this wk with an offset of ET42 and I'm guessing they'll be ok as well.

Thought you already had 1.2's on your motor mate?

I get minor rubbing with Pro Race 1.2's ET45 with 888's. I may try raising the coils of stiffening them more to eliminate it as I plan on pushing it round some bends in the bear future :)

al, how much of a drop on the original height do you estimate you've set your coilies to at the moment?

It is no lower - in fact if anything probably a bit higher.. I had Sportlines on my 2007 Leon Cupra and it rubbed too.

As I thought, mine is set a bit higher than a Leon with Sportlines.

I've just shoved some sportlines on mine and they reckoned it drop by 50mm at front and 40 at back, reckon it's actually about 35mmall round, happy with that thou! Had to chand the anti role linkage too, can't get over the difference it's made to handling, don't get quite as much wheel spin either now!

OK so I finally got round to checking the offset and... No ET values anywhere

The only things I can see are 8Jx18CH and a box with stamped code 12488 between spokes on the outside of the wheel
No markings on the inside of the wheel, on the spokes or flange

Confused!
