Yes, I know, it's not a SEAT - but might interest some of you.

Clearly I'm not going to be a SEAT owner for the foreseeable, so I decided to embrace my inner Canadian & get something practical

Next to our 'other' car, a Ford Escape (2.0T AWD 255bhp) - basically a Kuga - for scale

It's full title would be Ford F150 Supercrew 2.7 V6 Ecoboost XLT Sport 4x4

Given it's over 2 tonnes dry, it needs some power to move about, and that's sufficient at 325bhp/400lbft - considering our 100/110km/h speed limit out here, it's all about the hills & the snow... but it'll still hit 60mph in sub 6s!

Sweet ride! I assume the parking spaces are bigger over there too? Can it be remapped? Not that it's not already a beast.

You could say that... I stopped by Walmart for some Halloween kit, and this was exactly the same length as the spaces there (6.2m)

Not that it'd matter, it's so quiet out here there's always enough spaces, so you if you straddle a few it'd not matter (because everyone is doing it...)

Remapping is available, looks like it'll be just under 400bhp and high 400's in torque but not for a while, it lights up the tyres at anything over idle anyway

That thing is a beast! Do they still do the wide version with double wheels at the back (that's how I remember it anyway lol) I saw an F150 here in the UK and it needed 4 spaces in tesco car park haha

As you have the ecoboost I assume they do a monster engine version as well or has Ford gone with the V6 and turbo as thier top model these days?

Got any pics of the inside?

Does Canada have the modding scene like the UK? Or does everything have to be sort of practical to survive?

Dually! Not in the F150 flavour, but the F250 & F350 Superduty have those options. You only need that if you're towing some really heavy stuff.

Engines out here range from the 3.3 V6 on the low spec models, the 2.7T, 5.0 V8 and the high output 3.5T V6 in the Raptor. They've just launched a 3.0 Diesel too, but everyone is a bit burned by VW there.

I went with the 2.7T because I like the way turbo's can deliver the power, and cruise off boost. My first 200km yesterday driving about averaged 10L/100km (28 UK mpg) - which I'm all OK with!

Fuel is 'expensive' this week at about 72ppl.

I'll get some more photos in a bit of the inside. It's got enough legroom that I can sit behind myself (at 6ft tall) and not touch the seat in front - I found a Youtube video of a dodgy salesman walking around one
