Bought a car from them a month ago. Now, let me start of with saying the sales guy who I dealt with was great!

When I looked at the car I spent a lot of time looking over the overall condition, I notices a few small scratches however I was ok with them.

Overall, the car was very clean, I noticed a fair amount of polish in the shut lines but thought it was just a well prepped car.

Drove the car straight home, parked up and that was it for the day. Next morning, out came my pressure washer and my snow foam. Gave the car a good drenching and the pressure washed of all the suds. Now normally I'd proceed to wash the car with the 2 bucket method but as the car was clean anyways and my only purpose for cleaning was to inspect the paint I left the car to air dry.

Most of the paint was as expected, EXEPT for the surface scratch on the left side of the car, from the front wheels arch all the way to the rear wheels arch. Well, I was pissed naturally!

After repeatedly telling me it was impossible to be their fault, they finally accepted to fix it however they said I need to drive the 120mile round trip so they can get their "specialist" to do the work which they have said they can get the whole car mopped for 10 quid.

Well, needless to say I'm not impressed as they won't cover my fuel and the fact I have to take a day off work to get them to sort it.

In a nutshell, the manager there is less than useless. Struggles to call back when they say they will and in general cant be trusted.

If you want to buy a car from them, ask them to rinse the car off and remove the polish so that you can make a detailed inspection of the vehicle.

I've decided to cover the correction with my own money. There is no ways I'm trusting a guy who is prepared to mop the whole car, on their forecourt for £10!

Just had a bad experience this weekend with the same dealer...
I bought from them the car last year and I took it for the first check (10k).
After half hour that I dropped the car the receptionist call me saying "we found several nails on 3 of your tyres and the only solution is to change them all"... A bit suspicious I replyed that I'd rather go to a tyre dealer for the second check, so I didn't allow them to change the tyres streight as proposed.
When I picked the car up I went straight to a tyre dealer that told me: "we could have a try pulling the nails and see whether they leak, but it's your own risk. If it loose pressure we have to change tyres"
Scared by the prospective to spend more than 250 pounds, I took my time to decide.
Today I decided to have a try with one tyre with possibility to use the spear tyre in eventuality of leaking.
I had 3 tyres with nails:
- back right with 9 (!!!)
- back left with 3
- front right with one;

I started with the back left, and I was really surprised to see how small the nails were (less than 5 mm deep) and how new they looked (no signs of rust at all...).
I ended up taking all the nails out without any problems with the tyres.
That is a really good news for the day because I didn't have to spend money, but in another hand I thought:
- which probability do I have to find such a number of nails on my tyres?
- and the tyre in front right position had just one nail on the area that starts to bend and in which by law the dealer isn't authorised to make any repairs to the tyres....
- why the nails looked so polished and new?

Somebody could believe in coincidence and bad luck, but I just thought they had a good try to screw me...
Car new, not a problem... the only component from which they could get some money was just the tyres, no?
I definetely recommend to stay away from the dealer in Leicester.

Yep, and all perfectly perpendicular with the surface of the tires.
Absolutely I agree. I'd rather go to another one next year but for warranty I will still need to go to a seat dealer. Would you advice any other? (Nottingham for instance?)

for me they were good in sorting out the issues that i had with my Exeo but terrible in the form of compensating, got offered 10% off a service even thou it would cost me more than that in fuel to get to them

Have something similar. Went to look at my car at a dealers and give it a really good look over. All i could see was a ding in the drivers door. I agreed to buy the car as long as the dent was fixed , which they fixed.

Got it on a Wednesday night and when the weekend came I gave it "the works" as although the paint didnt even have swirls it was pretty grubby. I actually think it wasn't washed often by its previous owner which was good as the paintwork hadn't been abused. To my horror , the bonnet is scratched to hell , almost like its been key'd all over. The reason I didn't spot it is it looks like it's been painted over ?

Never bothered going back to the dealer , can't be bothered arguing my case , all they'll do is deny all knowledge.
